*Call for Nominations of Oncologic BFSIG Executive Board Members *
Oncologic Balance and Falls Special Interest Group (ONC BFSIG) are seeking
nominations for *two Executive Board Members.* These leadership positions
are *Director of Professional Growth/Educational Resources *and *Director
of Membership/Communications.* The eligibility and duties for each position
are listed below. Each officer serves a two-year term and mentors their
successor for one year after their term. *Elected officers must be present
at the Combined Sections Meeting 2021 ONC BFSIG business meeting *to accept
the position. *You can nominate yourself! *Please *fill out the attached
nomination form *and return it to *oncbfsig@xxxxxxxxx* <oncbfsig@xxxxxxxxx>
* by October 23. *
*Qualifications of ONC BFSIG Executive Board Members:*
1. Must be in good standing with the Academy of Oncologic PT and
Association.
2. Must have consented to serve.
3. Preference to have attended at least one ONC BFSIG meeting prior to
the election (including any past years CSM BFSIG meetings or virtual town
halls)
*Duties of Director of Professional Growth/Educational Resources:*
1. Enhance professional growth of Onc BFSIG members and relationship
between APTA Oncology SIGs.
2. Create educational opportunities for Onc BFSIG and APTA Oncology
members.
3. Assist the Director of Membership/Communication in managing Onc BFSIG
communications.
4. Share and promote Onc BFSIG events such as continuing education
updates, professional growth news to foster support for the SIG and APTA
Oncology including, but not limited to, updated for SIG homepage, posting
on listserve and social media in collaboration with Communication Chair of
APTA Oncology.
5. Assist other executive board members in planning events.
6. Represent the Onc BFSIG at CSM and other APTA Oncology or APTA events
to show support of SIG and APTA Oncology.
7. Provide content to the Director of Membership/Communications for the
quarterly APTA Oncology Newsletter about Onc BFSIG continuing education and
professional growth opportunities
*Duties of Director of Membership/Communications *
1. Periodically updates and coordinate the communication of pertinent
and relevant information for Onc BFSIG members through many mediums of
communication including maintain and manage the Onc BFSIG homepage content
regarding the value of being an Onc BFSIG, APTA Oncology, and APTA member,
SIG event, news, continuing education, conferences, etc… and SIG listserve
and respond to inquiries to increase transparency in collaboration with the
Communications Chair of APTA Oncology.
2. Create, promote, maintain, coordinate the Onc BFSIG social media
presence and respond to social media inquiries.
3. Create and coordinate Onc BFSIG submission to APTA Oncology quarterly
newsletter.
4. Create and plan networking events with approval of the President.
5. Assist other executive board members in planning events.
6. Develop strategies based on the completion of an annual membership
demographic analysis with measurable goals to increase Onc BFSIG membership
in collaboration with Membership Chair of APTA Oncology.
7. Create methods to capture the Onc BFSIG and APTA Oncology member
voice to ensure needs are being met.
8. Create Onc BFSIG new member information.
9. Track SIG memberships, and event attendance and provide reports of
SIG membership and attendance at end of year and presents this to APTA
Oncology BOD.
10. If lapses in SIG membership or APTA Oncology PT membership are found
develop a strategy to attempt to retain membership in collaboration with
Membership Chair of APTA Oncology.
