George Paul Contois
November 19, 1937 - November 1, 2017
Obituary

George Paul Contois of Bowie, MD passed away on November 01, 2017 from ongoing
cardiac complications. He is survived by his only child, Charles Andrew
Contois. George began his career at 18 years old in joining the US Army where
he developed an aptitude for aerospace engineering which landed him a role in
manually directing satellites from space in New Boston NH in the early 60's. He
was then stationed at NASA in Houston, TX where he continued his career in
satellite observations. Afterward, he was recruited by various private
aerospace firms, such as General Electric and Computer Sciences, as a
commercial marketer for the United States Department of Defense during which
time he became a Center Director of what would become space imagery marketing
for various Government entities.

In lieu of Flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions may be made
to the the Senior Dog Sanctuary at 8336 WB&A Road / Severn, MD 21144 / Attn:
Val.

George's family will be holding a memorial gathering at the Robert E. Evans
Funeral home, 16000 Annapolis Road / Bowie, MD 20715 on Saturday. November 18
from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A graveside service will be held on Monday, November
20 at 10:00 AM for his burial at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery, located at
1122 Sunrise Beach Rd. Crownsville, MD 21032.

Thanks to Lou Espinoza and Claudette Fucci for informing us of the passing of
George Contois ande his wife Sandy. George passed away on November 1, 2017 and
his wife Sandy passed away in May.
