If the CertData file isn't there, one easy way to get hold of it is to
get it from a recent version of NetSurf, where you'll find it in
!NetSurf.Resources under the name ca-bundle On my system the files are
identical. It's a text file, and the date on the 4th line is:
## Certificate data from Mozilla as of: Wed Jun 20 03:12:06 2018 GMT
Actually, that file is more than half a year out of date. The most
recent one is:
## Certificate data from Mozilla as of: Wed Jan 23 04:12:09 2019 GMT
That's the original
https://curl.haxx.se/ca/cacert.pem from the curl
website
https://curl.haxx.se/docs/caextract.html ;.
ROOL and NetSurf really aren't keeping up, as I noticed before... :(
And, yes, it's a pity that there isn't one co-ordinated location for
this important file. And filename, come to that.
I seem to remember someone mentioning you can tell NetSurf to use a
different file. Unfortunately, I don't remember how... :(
Using something like InetDBase as a central location would make sense, I
guess. As long as it's kept up to date...

P.S.
Last year I started working on a small application to check for updates
of various items and download and 'install' them if necessary. Like this
certificates file. It's been on hold for a while, but if anyone is
interested, I'll try to find the time to finish it.
