I seem to have created some confusion particularly with regard to the 'greyed
out' problem.

This happened when I Debatched the large files I found at
'!AntiSpam.Defaulted' and '!AntiSpam.DefaultTo' using !Pluto. I've attached a
jpeg (pic1/jpg) of my 'Netsurf & Oregano' !Pluto Box showing the greyed out
emails.

There are no attachments. Probably because the list doesn't like them.

Opening one of the emails and it appeared to be empty!

However, the body of the email had been incorporated into the header as shown
in the attachment "header" (in the !Pluto display this appears all green). I
noticed that in the greyed out emails each line was terminated by ' #' - is
this significant?

It usually means the line endings are incorrect. Which is most likely
also the cause of the entire issue.

Why has this happened? And how can I correct it and prevent it from hapening
in future?

As I told you in my message from last Friday, the only way to really
figure this out is to look at the large files you found. If that didn't
happen too long ago, there should still be a copy in Pluto's backups.

The second issue is the defaulted, deleted and diverted settings. The logs of
these files appear in <SysLog$LogDir>.deleted and <SysLog$LogDir>.diverted,
OK so far. But I don't understand what the purpose of the Defaulted or
Deferred files. I was expecting/wanting diverted files to be stored somewhere
so I could view them before finally deleting or keeping them.

As I wrote, that's how it works, in combination with the Marking window.
My explanation apparently wasn't clear enough. Maybe someone else can do
better.

I now presume that is what the contents of the two files in !Antispam
are.

Yes. That's literally what I wrote in the 'About the Settings' section
of my e-mail.

I also gave you several suggestions to improve the settings.

Oh! As an afterthought, where can I get SecureSockets from? I don't seem to
have a copy.

Forget about SecureSockets. It's about two decades out of date. The
rewritten AcornSSL module is a much better option. I think it's
currently only available as part of the HardDisk image from the ROOL
site.
I had been working on a tool to provide easy access to this and other
items, but things got in the way, so it isn't quite finished. I'll see
if I can release it anyway.
