Hi,
my name is Nicki and I'm from Osnabrück also, doing my Master's in
Cognitive Science. Although I won't make it to the workshop (which I regret
even more reading the few intros I've got so far) Martin was kind enough to
put me on your email list. I'm not quite sure what my focus will be some
day, but it is slowly getting clearer; I built a simulation of cultural
language evolution (based on the Talking Heads project) for my Bachelor's
Thesis and looked at the applicability of the term "Emergence" in that
context. I'm still involved with that stuff and would like to get more into
the simulation of social topics. My long-term goal is to work with funny
people from all areas you might think of doing strange things in the area
of complexity/simulation/social science. Yes. And I'm not with you .. what
a contradiction. maybe I'll make it for one day or two!
Anyway, I wish you an exciting week and lots of fun (which I'm sure you'll
