Members and Friends of Austin Mennonite Church I pray you are finding enrichment and resolution as you meditate on the experiences of Jesus during this Lenten season. The journey of Jesus has taken him out of the desert and into the intersections of his community. Now he is beginning to realize the impending flood of danger and disruption he had only perceived before. His testimony of God's solution for their entrenched problems is contrary to the expectations of his audience. Even Jesus's closest companions cannot comprehend the irrational nature of his predictions about his future. Jesus warns them to not be deceived by their egotistical measurements of what will or will not promote the purpose of God. Jesus pleads with them to abandon their logical appraisals and follow God's way, regardless of the cost. These thoughts will compose the sermon for this next Sunday, 'Divine solutions defy human logic.' May it go well with you. Sincerely, Garland Robertson ...always hold firmly to the thought that each one of us can do something to bring some portion of misery to an end
