All,
This Saturday is the final big push to get the garden prepared for Brisa
and Omar's wedding. We could use some extra help, even if only for 1/2
hour. You can come early as 7 am, but I won't be there until 8:45 or so.
We will work until we get done. I think Brisa is planning to be there by
8:00.
If you have wheelbarrows/garden carts, pitchforks/shovels to bring along,
please do so.
Please remember to dress appropriately (close-toed shoes, long pants, hat,
gloves, sunscreen if not wearing long sleeves.)
If you can bring your own reusable drinking container, we will have plenty
of water on hand. We also have some extra gloves in case you need some.
The main work we will be doing on Saturday is spreading hardwood mulch to
spruce up the garden paths and around the beds. (There are some other
tasks too.)
Late today, a delivery of 12 cubic yards of 1st grind hardwood mulch is
being delivered to the garden. We need to get this spread around on
Saturday ... because there is no other time do this before the wedding.
(By doing it 'just in time', it will make the garden look really fresh b/c
no weeds can grow there in one week!)
