Thanks, Michael and Lee, for your efforts in doing this. We just didn't have
time to order from any store. We do have some various things that might fit
(like soap, kids' activity book, etc.) But we do have an unused plastic clear
large container. Would this be helpful if I bring it to the church before 3 or
would this just make things more difficult?
What about monetary contributions?

Subject: [amc] Re: ADRN Survivor Kits Hurricane Ida and Hygiene Kits donations
Michael,
Currently there is a small collection of items at the church entrance (inside).
I am hoping more arrives tomorrow. Let's see what we have at 3 pm and transport
it to Hope Family Thrift Store. Thanks for your response.

Hi,
I have not heard anything (but also didn't ask for responses) about dropping
off boxes tomorrow. I'm happy to take care boxes from the church but wonder if
anyone is dropping anything off?
Bests,
Michael

I hope you have had the opportunity to put together an Austin Disaster Relief
Newtwork Survivor Kit for the folks impacted by Hurricane Ida. If not there is
still time! Yesterday I went to Bed Bath and Beyond and HEB and was able to put
together a family kit. I used one of our plastic tubs from home for the
container (see video). There have been some other donations to add to the
Survivor Kits.
If you have items to donate bring them to the church by 3 pm on Saturday and we
will put everything together and take it to the ADRN collection site. Thanks
for your participation. If you have any questions contact Michael Shirk at 512

Last Saturday a group of people put together hygiene kits for the homeless or
whoever could use them - water, socks, toothpaste, tooth brush, snack, masks,
etc. Yesterday I took the kits to Casa
Marianella<https://www.casamarianella.org/> and they were very happy to receive
them. It was a joy to visit their headquarters at 821 Gunter Street, Austin TX
and encounter the variety of people gathered there. Thank you to the Saturday
morning team that stuffed those wonderful MCC drawstring bags.
Thank you for your generosity!
