I have the XTS and use my pocket hoop attachment that came with the machine.
You just have to make sure it's good and tight. I don't hoop any backing with
it, I just slide it underneath between the hat and the needleplate. It works
great. I've done it many many times for baseball and T-ball hats where they
want the kids names on the side.
