Plastic against Plastic = Polymer
Plastic against Metal = Polymer
Metal against Metal = Multipurpose
You will be using the Polymer about 95% of the time you are lubricating your
machine. The multipurpose is used when lubricating the X carriage and the
grabber motor cam. Very early model Amayas (2002) would call for a little
multipurpose grease on the color change threaded rod but soon after the color
change motor was upgraded and now you don't need to lubricate it at all.
