Sometimes, yes, you can get a real 'wholesale' price....but a lot of  
those sites sell to the 'home sewer', and don't have the large spools  
we use, or the right spools to fit the Amayas.
Its worth checking out prices-you might find a good deal sometimes on  
something you need. But overall, the bulk of your supplies (thread,  
bobbins, backings) are cheaper at melco, madeira, and a couple other  
suppliers that are geared up for the 'bulk' orders.
