In theory there should not be. But in practice we sometimes throw it
away especially if we are using rayon

Thanks. Actually it's a design I've sewn on hats with good results
before. However, today these are different hats, the autoactifeed was
going to 1 (structured hat) so using manual.
I can see the core of the spool. So I was just wondering if there is
any tensile strength difference in the beginning or end of a spool...
