Roland, It sounds like you have developed a system that works for you. We normally do a couple of other things to help with the memory. In Design Shop I assign all the correct colors using the color bar/color selection process. You must assign these by the brand name of thread you are using, i.e, ARC, Madera, Isacord, etc. Then while in Design Shop or OS, I first show the design on the screen in 3D, then click on "File, Print", and in the print menu selection area, select "Print file status/notes." This will then print out a picture of the design and list by color and name of color by brand name, size of the design, stitch count and various other information. We also save the sample sewout for the customer file In Design Shop, under "View" and then selecting "Design Notes" I create a file for this design and enter all the pertinent info for customer name, type of garment, material, speed, and any other info I think I might need in the future. I can then print this as well, for a hard copy to go into the customer file. This information can then be viewed while in either DS or OS at anytime, without having to dig in to the hard copy file. But, it is only wise to always have that hard copy backup, just in case of the computer crash. The new 7.00.018 Pro+ software has an option to assign a printable barcode for all the designs, colors , speeds, needle settings, etc, that can be read by an infa-red reader at the machine, that will automatically set up the sewing process.
