for those following my problems-Jeff finally figured out what was
happening...
since I"m 'computer disfunctional' this is the 'crudely translated' version
of what goes on....
as you work in Design Shop and save changes, then send the design to Amaya
for sewing-the 'program' AND Windows are saving a 'tempory' file under the
same name-and Amaya is using one, Design Shop the other. So as I went back
to Design Shop as I saw things to fix during a sewout, what I was actually
'changing' was the TEMPORARY file-not the real file!
Then when I would 'send' the file over to Amaya, it would only 'see' the
original file-not the changes.
So to fix the 'problem'-now all I have to do is open the file needed, make
changes, and SAVE AS a NEW version of the file. (Like neckerchief 2, etc.)
and each time I go to make more changes, to fine tune the sewout, I now
would rename that file (neckerchief, 3, etc.) and problem would be solved.
It worked....
boils down to just a minor conflict or duplication of 'saves' between
Windows and Design Shop.
Okay, I know it isn't all exactly this simple-but for anyone else that runs
into it and doesn't speak computer geek (like me) this explanation works.
Thanks Jeff....
Roland
