Some older computers have a 'reset' button on or near the motherboard which
is designed to keep the motherboard from burning up in case of a power
surge. Try looking for it (you will have to open the case to find it.)
EDS3 will not run on windows XP. Only DesignShop will run on XP.

I know this is the amaya list but I think many of you have experience with
the OLD computers and machines.
I have a very old computer that uses the 3.1 op system. I just use this
to send designes to machines.
The other night we had a thunderstorm and maybe I didn't get it unplugged
in time. I have it on a surge protector but when there is a big storm I
unplug everything .
Anyway today I tried to turn it on and it said it couldn't find the
operating system. Does this mean I have to find a copy of windows 3.1 and
install that and also the EDS111?
Is there a way to up grade the program to a newer computer ? XP or even
98 ?
