I realize it's been a while and hopefully you've been able to get them in. My only tip is to use 2 hands to re-insert. I know it's just a little thing but with 2 hands I seem to be able to keep the tab straight and at the proper angle. I think this is the one I did step by step the first time, put those blasted black parts back on and then had to remove them again! As for the black things just keep fiddling with them. They will go back on but they are tricky. I don't know any secrets other than just clicking them in. But it does take a certain amount of patience. Needle #1 is the worst of the bunch. After you have done all of them a few times you will be better at it.
