Linda,
I've had to sew existing designs with metallic quite a bit. I haven't
digitized with it very much yet, with that said, you can make the
density higher than a normal satin of 4, try a 5 or 5.5. The metallic
thread is thicker than our regular thread so you don't need as much of
it. Underlay depends on the garment ( in my experience ) I'd go with
knit block or plain old block. Keep away from the fonts with serifs -
Athletic, Aachen. With a size needed of .35 you'll need to make sure to
increase the column widths also, try at least 120% maybe 130%.

Good luck.

Subject: [amayausers] Re: lettering with metallic thread

I have not done lettering with metallic thread before. I am attempting
to
create "C #444" with .35 block lettering. Any suggestions for font,
density,
underlay, etc?
This will be on Outer Banks 5011 white pique shirt using Melcomart
metallic
gold thread.

thanks in advance for any help anyone might give.
