Definitely invest in a Hoopmaster and I also recommend the Hoop Tech 
clamping system. Lots of others use Fast Frames as they are less expensive. 
There are some tricks to use when hooping some oddball things too so when 
you get to one of those puzzles post again and we'll all be here to help you 
out!

P.S. I'm a relative "newbie" to embroidery too and I ask a ton of questions 
so don't be shy.
