This is where the new Slimline or Hooptech clamping systems really shine= .
Just open the clamp, insert bag, pull down the handle and sew the bag....=

=0D We normally advise ou= r customers with this type of tricky hoping to
use
the "Stick Down Method".

1. We hoop a piece of heavy cutaway, and sew the design on it.
2. leaving the backing still in the hoop, we cut the design out, then
apply double sided tape aroung the hole in the backing.
3. Stick the bag to the backing and stitch it.
4. At end of sewing, carefully remove the bag, Leaving the double sided
tape till on the hooped backing.
5. Press next bag onto taped backing as in step 3.

With this we normallu get 10 - 20 sewouts per application of the double
sided tape, which we apply directly over the existing tape when it
looses it "adheasiveness".

Hope this helps.

Cheers

Subject: [amayausers] hooping tote bag

I am in the process of trying to hoop 500 tote bags. The inner part of
tote
is made of vinyl so the plastic hoop keeps slipping off even when using
cutaway or tearway backing. Is there another way or device I could use
to
hoop totes? I would like to try to tape the hoops which might help.
I'm
looking for a non-adhesive tape so I can remove the tape easily when job
is
complete. I've gone into Joanne Fabrics and couldn't find anything like
that. I've also heard athletic gauze is used and also I've read on the
user
group site that athletic tape or vet wrap was good. Athletic tape I
believe
is very sticky and I've never heard of vet wrap. Anyone have any good
ideas?
