I had worked on a machine where this same thing happened and after exhausting
all other possibilities of what might be wrong, I reset the mainboard, rebooted
the computer and the machine and ran the config wizard, after that the thread
break sensor worked fine. I would talk to someone at Melco before doing this,
having an XT mainboard in a standard Amaya, I would talk to tech support before
doing this, there may be other things you have to do first.
