Dear Herb, This summer I worked with a lady who make covers for jet airplanes and she show large designs on vinyl, a similar wt. as naugahyde. I would find an upholstery store and get some scraps to practice on. We used cutaway backing and played with the density to get rid of puckers. The vinyl stitched fine without large problems.
