We charge $10 per piece, minimum, as well. We do mostly names and initials.
Our business is primarily retail so we rarely do multiples. The $10 includes
set up costs. Our market is willing to pay this as yours may not. Of course
we seek out business from folks with above average incomes. We got tired of
customers wanting to negotiate price like we were at a flea market. So we
raised our prices and those folks went away.
You might say that someone else around the corner only charges $3 or $5 per
piece. Even if they were $.50 less, we're not concerned. Because once they
get all the business they can handle, customers will be willing to pay a little
more for their work to be done sooner and for the quality that we offer.
