If you had to 'buy' the other logo-then you 'pass along' the cost. If the original customer paid for the logo-then you should ask that customer for permission to use it! With the exception of something like Ford, Quaker Oats-large companies where you would need to have a logo for one of their suppliers or dealers-that logo generally I would have 'in stock' and not charge for (no, I don't do any of these guys, but have various 'big company'logos I've screened for their local outlets, or used on 'sponsor' shirts, etc.) But if I've digitized and charged one customer for a logo-then I consider that to be 'his' logo and won't use it for anyone else without permission. Another example-local 'tupperware' dealer had me digitize her logo for vehicle magnets, but told me other dealers 'under her' would want some also. So I kept the logo on file and didn't charge her for setting it up-since I did get orders from others. And there have been similar situations where I DID charge for doing a logo-but once 'others' ordered similar products using the same logo-they were charged a portion of the first setup, and that first customer got a credit towards their next order. > From: "Alan & Margaret Jannuzzi" <wishesinstitches@xxxxxxx> > Reply-To: amayausers@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Date: Fri, 21 Oct 2005 11:54:11 -0700 > To: "Amaya Users" <amayausers@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Subject: [amayausers] > > I am working with a new customer who has asked to have a logo digitized. > No problem.
