Well, an update to my original post. The service phone tech suggested that
there's probably something wrong with my machine because he hadn't heard of
loose tie-offs. (I know I remember someone else on this forum a while back also
stating that they had loose tie-offs?) So I called John Hanson, certified
service tech in Colorado and he suggested lowering my presser foot and
acti-feed -- which neither made any difference. Then I remembered when I was on
the phone with the Melco tech, he had me look in OS under Tools, Design Filter
and he said that the "Optimize Locks" should be UNchecked, which mine was. So I
went in and for the heck of it, CHECKED the Optimize Locks. Well, now my
machine is doing normal tie-offs!!! If you're having trouble with loose
tie-offs, try it! And has anyone ever used John in Colorado for machine
service? Your experience?

Not sure of his current status but John was the tech trainer for Melco... He's
the guy who taught me how to maintain machines.

Tried to reach out to him a few weeks back at his Melco address... Nice guy.
