I have an old Big Red and old OS without autofeed. I'm embroidering a one-time
Carhardt jacket with 'sheepskin' lining for a friend. Since we'd like to
remain friends, can anyone advise me about feed and material thickness
settings, underlay, and backing? I've looked at postings on hooping and type
of needle, but I can't find anything else. The embroidery will be 1.25"
lettering in satin stitch. I'm prepared to babysit the whole process.
