Dorothy, Melco will say it will be automatic, but sometimes the automatic processes take awhile. I would keep your ears open on this list and when you see it has been released call and ask for it. You will get it much quicker that way. I made it sound like there is no way to do what you were doing, which isn't quite true. There is a work around, it is just a little different. Instead of clicking on the Edit Button to edit it, click on the Open Icon or go to File/Open and open the design you loaded to the machine. Do your editing, then SAVE it, it is important to SAVE it or the changes will not be sent to the machine, after saving it, then click on the Machine and Load Design which will load it to the machine.
