Ron,

You're right, the chamber of commerce is a great way to network. Our
town is 1/100 the size of yours so there is only one meeting a month!

One of the best ways we found to network (if you have the time)
is your local Chamber of Commerce! We were voted small business of the
year
back in 94 but mostly see if they have a weekly meeting, Ours is called
Greeters
and it's held at various business' every Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 9:00
AM
and you meet with any other members that want to come network.
You can make announcements talk about fundraisers and projects.
I got a lot of business from this group.
The membership in our area is $55 each quarter.
Our town is only 25,00 people or so and chamber membership is in the 800
+ range.
It's a good way to network, find out about things going on in your town
and like anything you get out what you put in.

Just a heads up for those who don't know.
