I digitized these letters there was no font involved. very simple points. But
thanks for the idea, it's definitely something to watch.

  Evelyn,

Not that I'm an expert, is the lettering a font still or did you convert to
wireframe? The reason I ask, I have had similar issues and decided to convert
the font to wireframe and remove some of the extra points on the column
stitching around the outside. Sometimes too many points force the edge to look
jagged especially if you are outside the recommended size of the font. Just an
idea, I'm sure some of the expert digitizers can chime in here.

Subject: [amayausers] Need help on column stitch on hat

  Hello Everyone in Amayaland!

I need some suggestions. I'm stitching a structured hat, large letters in
fill with a column stitch outline. Problem is column stitch looks real "jagged"
almost "zig zag" on the outside edge. I have played with density, column width,
underlay until I'm blue in the face. Any suggestions? Using #11 ball point
needle, MT = 10 if that matters.

  TIA

  Evelyn
