I have a feeling Melco is going to discontinue the EP1 soon and this will be it's replacement. Melco really needed a compact machine since a lot of other embroidery machine manufactures are doing that now. I don't see on here that this can do caps nor do I see the maximum size field it can sew or like John said, speeds it can sew. Someone at Melco should add the specs to the website. (If it doesn't do caps, this could be a drawback since other companies compact machines do caps.) Interesting how they came up with 4 colors when other people are using 6 or more on their compact machines. I would like to see a EP6(or more colors) that has cap capability if they can keep the weight below 60lbs. or so. Melco used to make a 6 needle in the early 90's (EMC6) but Melco realized people wanted more colors so they made a 10 needle (EMC10) The EMC10 was a big seller for Melco back then. =========================================================== The AmayaUsers Mailing List Website: http://www.amayausers.com Discussion Board: http://www.amayausers.com/boards Subscribe/Unsubscribe: http://www.amayausers.com/list ===========================================================
