Ron, I agree with Herb. Every hoop has it's place in embroidery. There will be time where you will have a choice for the same job but with experience you'll always reach for the same one for that job for best results. We only use our "clamping system" hoop for those hard to hoop jobs because of fabric thickness or there's a zipper nearby, etc... Now Ron, you've got my curiosity up... "Poke-Me Embroidery"? What's in a name, I've once heard. Is there history here? In my humble opinion, this device is meant for (and works very well) for items such as Carhartts and gym bags, etc. It would not work very well on items that are not very, very stable. Don't acquire one thinking it will take the place of a 9/12/15 cm hoop. Is there a website that I could see this clamp in action? Ron Thompson Signguy Poke-Me Signs (408) 254-2044 San Jose, CA
