Couple things to check.... that error means the program isn't 'talking' to the Amaya itself... 1) do not turn the Amaya on until you have started up AMAYA OS and get the blank work screen, then turn the machine on. We get more problems if we turn the machine on first before the program and were told to do program first, everytime. 2) if you accidentally turn the program off, power blip, whatever, restart with the Amaya shut off, wait for the blank screen then turn it on. 3) check the cable ends...always a chance someone or something pulled a cable out or just loose enough to get a 'flicker' when it is communicating because the base gets rocking while sewing. Take your cable off, swap it around, and plug it back in securely and see what happens. That's all I can tell you...works for us.
