Hey Jeff,
I received an e-mail from Di Ann too but need her to send me my new password before I can try ordering again. Hopefully this will solve the problem. Thanks for the follow-up, I knew you would listen!

Wendy,

I have been looking into it as well. It seems there is more problems than
what we would like. The last couple of weeks there have been outages due to
electrical storms. We use backup power, but when the storms hit and power
goes unstable, they are purposely shut down to protect them. On top of that,
the errors like you are getting are becoming more abundant as well. These
errors are caused by software itself and something abnormal in the way your
account may be setup. I suggest writing to webmaster@xxxxxxxxxxxxx and let
him of your issues.

A manager of the MelcoMart and order department by the name of Di Ann
Wayland can be reached at dwayland@xxxxxxxxxx Please contact her as well.
She will try and get your account straightened out so it works correctly.
According to her, the problem has pooped up the last 6 months or so and they
have been working on it to get it corrected. If it does not get fixed soon,
the possibility if a new WEB site has been discussed.

Jeff,
Haven't been able to check e-mail until today, sorry I couldn't get back to
you earlier. This is the error message copied and pasted from the MelcoMart
site when I try to use it.....There has been an error. Technical Support has
already been notified. Thank you for your patience!.....
I'll see if your suggestion helps in anyway but I haven't made any changes
so my computer or internet access for along time so not sure if the problem
could be on my end. I'll let you know if "cleaning house" helps.

Wendy,

Perhaps the problem is not Melco? Perhaps it is something on your end, or
perhaps in the routing from your location to the Melco servers? I very
rarely have a problem getting into the site, and I do it a lot. I access
it
for part numbers and prices at least 3 to 4 times a week, and sometimes
this
is from home after hours. I also access Email every night and every
morning
before I go to work and the hardly ever have an issue. From work we access
it exactly the same as anyone else, VIA the Internet. I find it hard to
believe that if it has happened every time you try and access the site for
a
2 month period that it was down every one of those times. I suspect there
may be other reasons. Have you tried clearing deleting your cookies and
deleting your Internet cache files? While in Internet Explorer, go to
TOOLS,
then INTERNET OPTIONS. On the General TAB click on Delete Cookies and
Delete
Files. This will insure that there are not any older files and or cache
stuff hanging around that could interfere.

Can you get to www.melcomart.com right now?

Jeff,
I have this same problem but it's happened every time I have tried to
place
an on-line order in the last 2 months and it doesn't seem to happen at any
certain time of the day. I tried to make Melco aware of this when I've
called to place my order over the phone but I got some pretty apathetic
responses and I wonder if the information I gave them went anywhere.
Because of the 2 hour time difference here it can be somewhat of an
inconvenience to phone in an order so the on-line ordering is really
important to me. As a Melco employee maybe you could let the IT dept. at
Melco know this is a recurring problems with on-line customers.

Terri,

I am not sure, but I do not think it had to do with maintenance. I think
servers were down. I could not get into email from our servers last night
as
well. When this happens, it is normally a server problem or our ISP or
our
T1 had problems.

I always get frustrated when trying to do something on the internet and find the site is "down". Maybe someone from Melco could let us know if and when they have regularly scheduled times that the site will be down for maintenance etc. From being in IT development for 20 years I know that the most systems are scheduled to be off line at some point in time, sometimes its only once a month, sometime once a day. At least if we know then we could schedule around it.

Yes! This has been an ongoing issue for me for over a month. I have
mentioned it everytime I have to call and place an order and everyone
I've
spoken to about this and all they can say is "Oh, really?". Very
frustrating
for me as I do alot of my ordering at night and not being able to do so
on
the internet is a hassle.

Is anyone else having trouble getting onto melco.com or melcomart.com?

I have been trying for the past couple of hours and I keep getting an
error.
