Hi all, I had the strangest thing happen with a huge job of 350 Cheer Uniforms.. Our graphic artist uses Corel Draw to generate all of our art, as he did with these 7 appliqué files for digitizing. I have done numerous jobs using auto appliqué without any issues of this kind. With that said here?s the problem, after I digitize the appliqué file from the Corel Draw file, I then use the same Corel Draw file to cut my twill on a Stahl?s cutter Roland CAM. We do this all the time. Using the Corel Draw files the twill that is cut from the file is too small or looking at it from the other side, the appliqué zig zag is too far outside the twill cut line. It almost completely missed the twill. I have changed the zig zag singleline to 100% inside, but it isn?t enough. My properties for the auto appliqué are 100% right, which is inside and a 25 point width singleline with a density of 20 points. I don?t use a tack down stitch most of the time so I?m not using it now. I just have the outline and the zig zag. Oh yeah, I also thought that the problem was with auto appliqué feature, so I digitized the outline by hand from the Corel File. Same issues exist. Zag Zig is too far outside the twill, it isn?t catching enough of the twill. I noticed on Appliqué outline properties there is a box for curve compensation, it wasn?t checked when I digitized these files. Should it be checked, would this cause enough of an issue to make the zig zag and the outline sew outline the line? The file is a script font with two colors of twill. The biggest issue is with the first twill piece which is the outline color of the font. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
