Anand,
I have 2005 XTs that have a red plastic hood similar to the older AMAYAs
but they are XT. My understanding is the XTs have the round sewing arm,
where the bobbin goes in. The older styles are squared off and the
needle plate is also flat in the non XTs. The XTs have a rounded needle
plate. The 2006 XTs have the 2 part cap drivers. 2005 XTs have a one
part cap driver. Hope this helps.

I called the dealer. Was adviced that it is not a XT.
Can someone conmfirm that the red and grey machine October/November is
an XT

November 2005, Its grey and red & It hasn't worked for nearly 2 months.
It was one of the first XT machines released.
