Make sure the column width is at least 1.2mm.  If it is any narrower, the 
machine is basically going in and out of the same hole multiple times and the 
machine will read it as a thread break.  

Once I learned this at a digitizing seminar, I greatly reduced the number of 
thread breaks in my desigs.  Hope this helps.
