Make sure the retaining ring underneath
the red plunger is screwed down tight.
Ours used to keep vibrating loose,
and it may block the button from pushing
in far enough to function.

I also believe there is a section on maintenance or machine
that lets you check the buttons on the machine
each time you push a button on the keypad
it lights up on the appropriate button on screen so you know it is functioning.
also make sure and check if the phone cord looking, cable connector
is plugged all the way in in the back.

Good Luck,
It may just be a bad button!
