I said this not right, so out comes my trusty parts & maintenance cd. It tells you to clean & oil, then check function, can't remember the exact wording, Looked good. Now the section on replacing the knife says the hook needs to be .030 - .060 over the edge of the rotary hook. What I'm seeing is not good. The hook is out about .125. Being an old mechanic I could see that this is to much beyond the edge of the rotary hook on what the cd shows. I opened the back to find where the adjustment are made. with a little time we had her running great. I ran the Amtrim test all the way through at 1100 spm without 1 miss or thread break. So I hope I'm good to go. I hope all of you out there in Amaya land have a safe & happy holiday.
