For me, ease of access allows me to then grab my notebook and work on
designs with my notebook in areas other than the shop when I want to "get
away"

I have several Dell's and they all have UBS ports on the front of the
computers including the old Pentium 1.3mhz. My newest Dell supports USB2.0.
It has 10 USB ports in the system, 8 in the back and 2 on the front. I use
the ones in the back for things I do not need to remove on a regular basis
such as printer, Melco dongle, keyboard, mouse, etc. The 2 up front I use
for my flash drive and digital camera. With USB2.0, I can upload a couple
hundred pictures from my digital camera to USB flash drive in less than 2
minutes :)
