I think the colored bobbins are actually made for home machines and are using
cotton thread. They are the same bobbin size though. I have never tried them
but knowing they are for home use I would slow the machine down to 500 SPM and
make sure the bobbin isn't too tight. Don and Terri at Terradon use Melco
EMT's and I am sure they would work on them (I have 4 EMT's and 6 AMAYA's) but
because of the speed and the auto feed system on the AMAYA I am not convinced
they would work the same on the AMAYA. Again I have never tried anything
besides white and black on the AMAYA and even the black didn't run real well
for me although it was ok.
