As a tech, I would also be concerned about what caused this problem initially.
If all you do is replace the broken part but do not address what caused it to
break in the first place, you may wind up having to replace a broken gear again
and again.
Or,.... Possibly not. It could have been a freak accident destined never to
trouble you again.
Just something to think about.
