As you look at the design in the stitch window the design breaks apart into fills, columns, etc. I would start with a fill and right click on it. A window should come up that has all the parameters in it. Find the density and make the number larger. Do that in each fill or column. This will remove some of the stitches in the solid areas. Maybe go up one number like from a 3 to a 4. After you have finished do a save as and rename by adding a number at the end. Stitch the design out on a sample as close to your project fabric. See how it works. Look at the sample and if a certain area puckers then go back in and make the numbers larger. If you think it is a walk stitch then make the stitch length longer. You will have to play with it until it will work and be smooth. Hope this helps.
