[amayausers] Backing question....

Hi all,
I've got some thin Hawaiian type shirts that are a white poly-rayon
blend..and have a "silk" feel to them.
Any suggestions on backing ?
The "stock" embroidery of palm trees that goes around the shirts looks like
it had tear away on it from the factory, however it was probably embroidered
as large bolts of fabric prior to the shirts being assembled.
My thoughts were either a tear away (or maybe even two sheets) or some of
the poly mesh..
I'm open to any suggestions.
