We are assuming that you are using polyester thread..if so what brand? (the 
failing needles).

Here is something else to try/do. Go into Tools, Settings and in the Machine 
tab, change the "Inching stitch count" to 6..it is normally set at 3. This will 
give the machine extra time to pick up the bobbin thread and tie it together.

 Also, on the same display page, what is the "Tail length" set to? Select 
"Medium tail" length and then make sure the "Trim type" is set to "Normal". You 
might even try this with the tail length set to "Long".

It sounds as if you need to check the "hook timing" to see if it is correct. In 
the "Parts and Tech Manual" CD the hook timing is described pretty 
well...checking it is one thing, setting it or adjusting the hook timing is 
another....
