Technically, a person shouldn't even be dating after a divorce, because the
Church does not recognize civil divorce. All first marriages are presumed to be
valid (unless a Catholic gets married outside the Church without
dispensation).
People today assume that they can/will "get an annulment" , but we should never
assume. In order to be able to marry again in the Church, we must petition the
Tribunal to examine our first marriage for Nullity, and a verdict reached.

Shalom...
Can anyone explain to me the sacrament of Marriage of the Catholic
Order...? if you marry under the Catholic religion, and then you get a legal
divorce, and you re-marry another person who is Catholic, can you receive the
Eucharist? Please let me know, I very much appreciate some kind of help or
feedback regarding a second Marriage as a Catholic.
Many Blessings!
