Hi guys, as I am currently working on fixing our outstanding issues with building/creating an updated native OS4 4.2.x gcc compiler, I am currently having some trouble as I haven't yet built any native compiler myself and just create linux hosted cross compilers. Would someone who built the last native compiler please enlight me (probably Hans-Jörg) how he managed to link the hosted compiler against "-lunix" which is obviously required to have the compiler properly working with unix pathes? What I am current doing is: ../gcc/configure --prefix=/gcc --host=ppc-amigaos --target=ppc-amigaos --enable-haifa --enable-sjlj-exceptions --disable-shared --disable-libstdcxx-pch --enable-languages=c,c++ and then I simply run "make". But here this automatically builds a compiler which can't deal with unix pathes and I haven't found out yet how I can get the whole build tree to link the procued gcc executable against "-lunix" so that gcc can deal with unix pathes. We definitly need some documentation on building a native compiler for the different supported platforms. So please the one who created the OS4 native compiler please stand up and tell me which steps he performed after another? cheers, jens -- Jens Langner Ph: +49-172-4452254 Rißweg 27b 01324 Dresden Jens.Langner@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx Germany http://www.jens-langner.de/ To estimate the time it takes to do a task: estimate the time you think it should take, multiply by two and change the unit of measure to the next highest unit.
