Sorry Gunther, but as already discussed in the YAM mailinglist. The
significance of switching to subversion is really worth the additional
space. And especially our adtools repository with multiple vendor
branches will definitly make my live easier when I am going to apply
more changes from the GCC crew.

However, you might try to reduce the amount of checked out files by just
checking out the very files you are interested in.

Buit I really consider SVN to be of such importance for us that we can't
just stay with CVS because diskspace may be limited :)
