First, in the days in which our Bible was translated, the Apocrypha was
accepted reading based on its historical value, though not accepted as
Scripture by anyone outside of the Catholic church. The King James translators
therefore placed it between the Old and New Testaments for its historical
benefit to its readers. They did not integrate it into the Old Testament text
as do the corrupt Alexandrian manuscripts.
That they rejected the Apocrypha as divine is very obvious by the seven reasons
which they gave for not incorporating it into the text. They are as follows:
1. Not one of them is in the Hebrew language, which was alone used by the
inspired historians and poets of the Old Testament. 2. Not one of the writers
lays any claim to inspiration. 3. These books were never acknowledged as sacred
Scriptures by the Jewish Church, and therefore were never sanctioned by our
Lord. 4. They were not allowed a place among the sacred books, during the first
four centuries of the Christian Church. 5. They contain fabulous statements,
and statements which contradict not only the canonical Scriptures, but
themselves; as when, in the two Books of Maccabees, Antiochus Epiphanes is made
to die three different deaths in as many different places. 6. It inculcates
doctrines at variance with the Bible, such as prayers for the dead and sinless
perfection. 7. It teaches immoral practices, such as lying, suicide,
assassination and magical incantation.

Call Washington says the 1611 version is what the legal system uses. So,
there's that. It has been said that the KJV is not only about translating the
texts, but also about setting a standard for the English language, much like
Shakespeare did.
One cannot talk about the Bible without considering what was done at the
Council of Nicaea. https://overviewbible.com/council-of-nicaea/
The books that were left out are called The Apocrypha and are included in the
1611 version. So, is the Bible the word of God or is it the word of God
edited by man? So many questions.

As for the your response here. King James didn’t have to an authority of the
language. He had folks that were appointed to do such and also fixed the
errors out of the other English version and purposely left out notes that
other bibles left in such as the Geneva study Bible had It. Didn’t want it
to be tainted with mans opinions. Let the reader be strictly influenced by
the words them selves. The only flaws in the kjv 1611 that you find is
actual flaws of man and not with the book

The Pilgrims arrived in 1620 and brought with them the Geneva Bible, not the

increasing flow of settlers.

So it seems that a king named james was actually part of the reason that our
forefathers left england in the first place, so to side with him is to side
with the oppressors.
My 10th great grandfather was among those who left to come to this new
world, he landed in 1629 and I do believe that he came here for freedom
since he was indentured at the time of his arrival and had to earn that
freedom by working as a slave for three years to become a freeman.
But my point is that king james was not a real authority on the written
language and there are many flaws in that version if you take the time to
study with an open mind you will see for yourself.
And I wholeheartedly agree with charley dan, we must allow the one true
spirit to guide us in our studies.
the path i follow is the one that leads to freedom, not oppression, that
seems to be the path less followed, the narrow path, and i believe it leads
to the throne of justice where my king resides.
not A king, THE king.

yes i can agree its possible to get saved in some other bibles but not all.
They do remove the blood in the perversion or other things that make it
false. SO i rather not steer them with the wrong bible when getting them
saved or show them how to and ultimately they make the decision. I can
plant the seed.

I've met many people saved, born again, redeemed by the blood that read
other Bibles. Just read it and it will change your life. It is the living
word. For the 85% in the evangelical church pews that do not believe in the
resurrection, Jesus is Son of God, that the Bible is the word of God, or in
the beginning. Preachers need to use more scriptures in their sermons to
change the heart of man and man needs to read. Man of the flesh will change
to a man of the spirit, Holy Spirit convicted. For the fruit of the spirit
is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, meekness, kindness, peace,
missing one and some say four. Against such their is no law. When one
demands a certain Bible or any thing. Shows their attitude they are God or
want-to-be. Just put the scripture truths out there and God will water.
That is the reason the forefathers said this nation is a Christian nation
and made for Christians, Spirit filled. The rest need tyranny a government
to control them.

Seriously stop climbing to that physco babble BS of a book like it some
security blanket. Read the opening of that book and then copy write
section after at the front of book of discipline. They give them selves,
man to make or adjust what is right or wrong or considered
unconstitutional. Now go to copywriter section. It states all the Bible
quotes come from the common English version. You do realize it’s not a
“church” you belong to? Biblical that is. What you have here is a society
without saying it plainly. Which means they have rule of man to govern
you. And you ain’t welcomed. Point is an actual church. Wouldn’t need such
trash. It’s rather simple. The Bible is the authority and not just any. It
needs to be a KJV 1611 authorized version. If there so called rules in
that book don’t match the Bible then it’s wrong and it’s of man and not
god. They got one big x for me with the Bible quotes which come from A
corrupt version translations. All new Bible versions are based on a Greek
Text compiled by Wescott and Hort, who were heretics and based their Text
on about 45 manuscripts that are of the Alexandrian family, which means
they came from Egypt. The Scriptures have nothing positive to say about
Egypt, in fact it is to the contrary. The Philo School of Theology also
called the Alexandrian School, in the second and third century, a source
of heresies (Gnosticism, Arianism, and pagan philosophy) which in turn had
to be the source of the corrupted texts that came from that area,
primarily known as the Vanicanus and Sinaiticus manuscripts.
Please join. A real congregation that follow the actual bible and meet
together .

the big problem is the bishops and pastors have diminished the authority
of the BOOK OF DISCIPLINE, our international by-laws. The New Jersey
Legislature specifically names the BOD as the law that Methodist churches
must follow about property and membership.
once the people of the United Methodists return to the tenets of the BOD,
and learn to follow them, we will be straightened out.
Methodists have three branches of Govt. The bishops have seized the
executive branch and have used the State military force to impose their
will like Roman Catholicism over the ppl.
Uncanny how this is mirroring the tactics used by the defacto state
takeover scheme of D.C. that we are all learning to overcome.

Ended with me making it all the way to top of steps where 7 people
