Ever heard of the Signal app? It’s pretty darn popular. It’s an app that
allows you to send encrypted messages back and forth. The thing is, it’s
probably not as secure as most people think. Check out this tidbit from Fox
News… *“Court documents from a recent gun-trafficking case in New York
suggest the FBI may have developed a way to access texts on Signal, the
encrypted messaging app that has risen in popularity in recent months for
its secure communication.”* The article continues… *“The court documents,
filed by the Justice Department and obtained by Forbes, showed screenshots
of Signal messages between men allegedly discussing an illegal weapons
trade and attempted murder.” * Here’s what you need to know about this… If
you truly want to keep your communication secure, never, ever use a cell
phone or any type of app. If it was created by man, it can be hacked by
man. In the security work I do, I have some private clients who need
extreme privacy. I never discuss important things over the phone with these
clients and we always meet in person. Plus, when we meet in person, I never
bring a cell phone with me. The client puts his cell phone in a Faraday bag
long before he gets to me, so that the last ping from a cell tower is
nowhere near me. Obviously, you and I should never do anything illegal and
should never be using encryption apps for running guns or planning murders. But
from time to time you still may have important communications that you
don’t want to take the chance of someone else finding out about. It may be
where you stash your money… It may be where you’re hiding your guns that
are legally off the books (you should get this

It may be an important business deal that you don’t want any competitor to
get tipped off about beforehand. My point is, if it really is that
important, only discuss it in person with absolutely no electronic devices
