This may sound naive but why the hell are we putting up with all of this? Did
you look at the terms you are using? "resident," "employer/employee?"
26 USC 3401(c): For purposes of this chapter, the term “employee” includes an
officer, employee, or elected official of the United States, a State, or any
political subdivision thereof, or the District of Columbia, or any agency or
instrumentality of any one or more of the foregoing. The term “employee” also
includes an officer of a corporation.
Is any one here one of those things? Is anyone a "resident" of anywhere? I get
it that a US citizen is one of those things, so don't be that, in fact, you
can't be that. Why are people putting up with businesses that insist on forcing
one to commit perjury in order to get a job? How does this ridiculous situation
come to an end? If you have a business that hires people why the hell do you
continue to lie to them? if you are someone who just wants to work for a
company, why the hell are you allowing this ignorance to continue? This has to
stop.
I get it that business guys are scared to death of the big bad wolf, but the
only way this is going to stop is to educate them. My guess is that even that
won't make any difference. Sue 'em? How far do you think you'll get with that
given the corruption in the courts?
I don't know what the answer is but somehow, someway this has to stop!
