Lawyer is correct. If you want protection it comes from title 9 sections 1
through 4, and title 15, the Lanham act provides remedies and protections.
But you must be operating in commerce and have goods and services. It helps
to have a registered trademark, but a common law trademark will also
suffice. Read title nine sections one through four and you'll see what the
requirements are.
